Community Assistance Network
The
Community Assistance Network (CAN) of the Richmond
Fellowship of the ACT Inc. is a mental health recovery
program, funded by the ACT Dept of Health, Mental
Health. We offer services to people aged 16 to 65 years
who are affected by a mental illness and who wish to
live in the community. People who join our program are
encouraged and supported to become active participants
by taking responsibility for their recovery plans. Our
staff team works to ACT Mental Health Recovery
Principles and in close partnership with ACT Mental
Health and other agencies to ensure we can assist people
to access the services that best suit their needs.
CAN provides:
-
Transitional group house accommodation with a
structured program for people who wish to learn
skills that will enable them to live independently
-
Outreach support for people who live in their own
accommodation
-
An after hours social program for people who want to
connect with others and enjoy what our community has
to offer
-
